It was easy to illustrate Woody Guthrie's "Talkin' Washington Blues" in Kelso. It was so easy, it's downright creepy. The song talks about dust bowl migrants coming to Washington State and moving around looking for work. I found this shot just around the corner--and I'm ashamed to say I would have missed it if I hadn't been out looking for material. There's an eviction notice on the door, and the tenant's belongings put out on the street.
